Muno CampinoAbout
Italian tenor Tito Schipa was one of the twentieth century’s most beloved and admired singers. He had a unique ability to hold his listeners spellbound, partly on account of the mastery of vocal technique that freed him to interpret with great spontaneity and creativity.
Schipa’s vocal longevity is attested to on this CD by the selections from 1964 as well as in the live 1962 recital from Washington, where he drives the audience to near hysteria.
